With $27.4B in GDP contributions, 89K employees, and $1.2B in pharma-related research and development, the life sciences sector in Ontario has a strong strategic and economic presence. However, despite the sector’s strengths, the Toronto region is lagging relative to our peer jurisdictions. Held back by the inability to commercialize, scale, or economically benefit directly from our own innovation, products or services, our life sciences economy and health outcomes will fall short.
The Life Sciences Symposium is a forum for open dialogue and discussion to unpack Toronto region's life science sector and catalyze its growth.
